A Rare Mug of 30 fluid ounces (1 ½ Ale Pints) by John
Alderson of London 1764-1792.His hallmarks stamped at rim not in the
usual way but on end! His touchmark A stamped in the base. This does
not appear to be his usual IA touchmark.
It could be that the unusual marks and capacity of this mug
places it's manufacture at Alderson's earliest period Circa 1765-75
